Field Trip Information

If you'd like to be a field trip chaperone, PPS requires that you've passed a background check. Please visit the following website to request a background check or to verify that your status is still active as it expires after 3 years: https://apps.pps.net/volunteermanagement/

I will update this page as we plan our field trips throughout the year. The first grade team is currently planning our field trips for the year. Only adults with an active PPS background check will be considered as chaperones. If there are more volunteers than chaperone slots, I'll do a lottery to chose chaperones. I want to make sure that as many interested family members as possible can participate. I'm only seeking chaperones who are willing and able to be responsible for small groups of children.

If you have suggestions for field trips and/or class visitors (especially those which are free or reasonably priced), please let me know! You are also welcome to share your profession/skill/art with our students. I know that with 53 students we have a lot of great skills and knowledge to share.
